Guts Vs. Numbers began as a gentlemen's challenge between two friends to see who could more successfully predict the outcome of the current week's NFL games. Zachary 'Guts' Chromiak claimed he would perform better using nothing but knowledge of the game and his gut instinct. James 'Nums' Gower, on the otherhand, claimed that a statistically-based ranking system and the injury report was all he needed for victory. Nothing was wagered but pride.
